A Message From Nicholas Maurer
To both my personal friends and professional associates, I will be turning 40 this August and rather than throw some lavish party filled with indulgence or travel to some fancy destination to celebrate another lap around the Sun, I am embarking on a personal journey for the next year.
Amidst everything going on in the United States and around the world, I am moved to do something within my reach from August 15th, 2020 through August 15th, 2021 to have a positive impact on the lives of others.
To that end, I am asking for your support for a great organization that works with the youth in the local communities to ensure they have outlets to share life experiences with their Big Brother or Big Sister.
Going Over the Edge for me is the beginning of my 40 Random Acts at 40. It will be a way for us all to continue the bonds, friendships and support lines in the community that fund a Big Brother or Big Sister to have a Special Day of their choosing to share an experience. I assure you, especially now, these young minds are looking to their Bigs and need these moments so they do not lose site of why they work hard in school, at a part-time job, at a high school sport and most of all have empathy for each other and feel a positive connection to their community.
Just as much, the Bigs need the connection to their Littles to fulfill their purpose or season in life and to their community.
You see, everyone is simply providing a better opportunity for the future of our youth here in Tampa Bay!
There will be 39 other gestures over the year and I hope those of you who support me here will follow along on this journey with me to experience my 40 Random Acts at 40!
