Hi everyone. So where has the time gone? This year I will celebrate 23 years at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay. It is truly rare that someone can still say after 23 years that they get to make an impact in the lives of others everyday and I get to say that. If the last 2 years have showed us anything it is to be grateful. And I am so very grateful to be part of this agency where I have not only built an amazing career but have created so many incredible mentoring relationships and friendships. The last 2 years have been a challenge but I couldn’t be more proud of how our agency overcame and became even stronger. My personal story as a Big is what I am most proud of. Amanda is 23 years old. She has worked at St. Joseph’s the last 2 ½ years during the pandemic and she has been incredible. She works in the ER and some of the stories she shares are devastating but she is committed and dedicated and is helping others. I couldn’t be more proud of her. This year will be our 18th year anniversary. Big Brothers Big Sisters is my life's work and kids need support more than ever after the isolation and uncertainty we have all faced the last 2 years.
