Big Brothers Big Sisters mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Everyday I am grateful for the opportunity to watch Jessenia grow and continue to be her best self. She has taught me so much through our 4.5 years together, most of all how to be more thoughtful and giving. When I first met Jessenia it was to interview her for our program. She didn't even know who her Big Sister was yet but she already had a homemade box of gifts for her. I am also so thankful that so many of you have also gotten to see her grow. She loves and appreciates all your "love" no matter how far it comes from. This is always Jessenia's favorite time of the year, because she get to actively help get more children off the waiting list.
